Mountain Hike
Waterfalls
Taking a lunch break.
We decided to take advantage of one of our nice Sunday's left before winter comes. We started the hike at 9am up the Timpanogos Mountain Trail. Hoping to see Emerald Lake, the crashed B-25, and the peak. Well after two hours of climbing and only making it about a mile and half the girls and Tristan decided to turn around. The boys made it a little further I think close to 9,600 ft and 4 miles one way. The peak is 11,749 and 7.5 miles one way. I was just hoping that we didn't run into the animals that left poop along the trail. Someone did tell us a bull moose with big horns was laying down off the trail up ahead. Yeah, not something I want to run into as you curve along the dirt trail up the mountain with a baby on your back. We never did see the moose but we freaked a couple of times when we would hear snorting. But it ended up being Tristan and Tiffany asleep and snoring in the backpacks. Maybe next week we can tackle another mountain.
